The Summer School sponsors the short story competition and the Hayes Conference Centre sponsors the childrens writing competition. The competitions were supported by Writers’ News who sponsored the top prize for poetry and provided trophies and framed certificates for the winners as well as cash prizes for the runners-up. First-place winners were published in Writing Magazine supplement October 2007.
